FORTAL was designed from an aircraft aluminum and developedfor the mold working industry. The developers of FORTAL knew thatin this industry, the core material is very critical because ofpockets, holes and keyways that will be cut from the interior ofthe plate. FORTAL exceeds other brands of this alloy by havingextremely consistent mechanical properties throughout thecrosssection of the material (its the same - inside and out).Thetwo grades of FORTAL-HR & FORTAL-HP offer the user the necessaryproperties in whichever thickness is needed.
